This year we have celebrated World Book Day in a different way. Each form class slected the genre from a bowl and then created a display in their classroom.
The story of Madani Girls School was also suggested and retold but in a fictional comic or story - this too was displayed so that pupils can read it during other lessons.
This term there were some very important workshops that took place. An anti– bullying workshop was organised for the current year 7 students, in which we had a guest speaker come and enlighten the pupils of the different types of bullying and how to overcome it.

On the 7th of December, the Year 11s went to a Careers event at the excel centre and were able to see the amazing stalls and fields they could possibly go in to in the future.
They were able to interact with the people that were promoting their professions and were also able to take part in certain activities revolving around these professions.
All students had great fun and really enjoyed the event, Many found it beneficial and say it has really helped them choose their future prospects. We wish them all success inshallah.
As part of our 'ready for winter campaign' some students were selected to visit a local care home - Hawthorn Green Residential home. The students were selected on the basis of academic progress and outstanding behaviour. We brought them some gifts upon our arrival which they appreciated. The students spent time with the residents, shared stories with them and received some great advice from them. They helped them make some paper chains and the residents had lovely things to say about the pupils.
Below are the feedback we received from the care home manager:
