On Monday, 10th February 2025, 8U students visited the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) for an enriching educational experience. They began by exploring the Islamic Middle East, which houses over 19,000 objects from the Islamic world, ranging from the 7th to the early 20th century.
During their time in the gallery, students completed worksheets that involved sketching artefacts and answering questions, enhancing their understanding of Islamic art and culture. Following this, they explored other exhibits within the museum, broadening their appreciation for various art forms and historical periods.
The visit concluded with a delightful lunch in the museum’s garden, providing a perfect setting for students to relax and reflect on their learnings from the day.
