Join us in reliving the excitement of our Year 8 students’ recent trip to the London Transport Museum, where they dove headfirst into the world of engineering! The day was packed with cool activities, inspiring chats with engineers, and an exclusive tour of the museum’s coolest collection.
During the Key Stage 3 Onsite Inspire Engineering Day, our students got to rub shoulders with real-life engineers. They got the inside scoop on what it’s like to work in the field and discovered some seriously cool career paths they could take.
The highlight? Definitely the ‘Sustainable Cities’ challenge! Our students put their heads together to tackle real-world engineering problems facing London. It was all about brainstorming eco-friendly solutions for making our city even better.
And let’s not forget the London Transport Museum Depot – it was like stepping into a time machine filled with all sorts of engineering marvels. From old-school trains to futuristic tech, our students were totally blown away.
To top it all off, every student scored a Discovery CREST Award for their awesome participation.
Throughout the day, our students not only learned heaps about engineering but also got a sneak peek into what their future careers could look like. Plus, they honed some seriously cool skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving – all while having a blast!
A huge thank you to the museum staff for making it a day to remember. Our Year 8s came back buzzing with inspiration, ready to take on the world of engineering!
