On Tuesday, 28th January, members of the School Council had the exciting opportunity to visit City Hall. They participated in engaging activities designed to deepen their understanding of London’s history, governance, and decision-making processes.
A highlight of the visit was observing a London Assembly meeting, where they witnessed firsthand how elected representatives debate and scrutinize policies affecting the city. This experience provided valuable insights into leadership and civic engagement, reinforcing their roles as student representatives.
Through discussions on contemporary issues, they developed an appreciation for different political viewpoints and the importance of voting. This interactive experience helped bring the policy-making process to life, inspiring them to think critically about the future of London.
Equipped with this knowledge, School Council members are now eager to apply what they have learned within the Madani School Council. From enhancing student representation to initiating meaningful discussions on school policies, they are ready to take an active role in shaping positive changes within our school community.
